Importance of Learning English

English is an international language. It is used all over the world as the most influential language. The importance of learning English cannot be described in words. Communication, acquiring knowledge and having good jobs are impossible without the proficiency in English. We cannot expose our talent, quality, and efficiency in international sector if we do not know English. Higher education is impossible for those who do not know English well as all the important books for higher education are written in English. Today more than 80% of all information in the world’s computers and internet is in English. Learning English acts as a gateway to higher education. Most of the renowned magazines and newspapers of the world are written in English. If we want to have knowledge about current international affairs, we must learn English. Besides, English helps us to get good jobs and better salaries. Nowadays organizations need employees who can speak and write in a standard form of English. English is essential for trade, commerce and industrial development of a country. It is good news for us that government has given importance on teaching English in schools and colleges.
