A dove and an ant

Once upon a time there lived a dove in the bush of a wood. There were also some ants surrounding the bush. One day an ant came down from the bush and was seeking food on the bank of a pond. Suddenly a strong wind blew and the ant fell on the water. The ant tried its level best to reach the bank of the pond. But all its efforts went in vain. It failed to get ashore.

At one point, it lost all hopes of life and was about to be drowned. At that time, the dove was seated in the bratich of a tree from where he saw the miserable condition of the ant. He took pity on the little ant. Then he carried a straw by his beak and drop it on the water. The negligible straw dropped by the dove prove perfect lifesaving device for the ant. It creeped and caught hold of it and saved its life.

The ant became very much grateful to the dove. It made up its mind if it got any chance to help the dove, it would even risk its life for that. However, a few days later, once the ant saw a person with his gun to shoot the dove. The ant at once co, realize that its helping friend was in danger. So, it went to the man and creeped leg. The moment when the man was about to shoot, the ant bit his leg.

This drew much of the attention of the man. So, he missed his target. The dove got the chance to fly away. Thus, a mere ant saved a dove’s life. They became good friends.
