The dog and his shadow

Once upon a time there was a dog. He was very greedy. He used to steal food. One day he stole a piece of meat from a butcher’s shop. Holding it in its mouth, he ran towards the forest where he lived. On the way to the forest he had to cross a river. There was a bridge over the river. When he was crossing the bridge, he looked down.  He saw his own shadow reflecting in the river water. He thought it was a real dog which was carrying a bigger piece of meat. He decided to grab the reflected meat. But as soon as he tried to do that, he dropped down his own piece of meat. So, he lost his own part.

He saw a lot of meat hanging there. He felt tempted. He thought he could have a nice meal. So he hid himself beside the shop. At his suitable time he stole a piece of meat from the butcher’s shop. Holding it in its mouth, he ran towards the forest where he lived. On the way to the forest he had to cross a river. There was a bridge over the river. When he was crossing the bridge, he looked down.  He saw his own shadow reflecting in the river water. He thought it was a real dog which was carrying a bigger piece of meat. He decided to grab the reflected meat. But as soon as he tried to do that, he dropped down his own piece of meat. So, he lost his own part.
